Netlify's credit-based plans, in plain numbers

How many deploys, gigabytes and requests Netlify's Free, Personal and Pro credits actually buy.

· 1 min read

Netlify moved new accounts to credit-based pricing in September 2025. Instead of separate allowances for bandwidth and builds, every plan includes a pool of credits that each metered feature draws from.

What a credit buys

From Netlify's own pricing docs:

Usage Credits
One production deploy 15
1 GB of bandwidth 20
10,000 web requests 2
1 GB-hour of function compute 10

Deploy previews, branch deploys and form submissions do not use credits.

What each plan includes

  • Free: 300 credits a month, with a hard limit. When they run out, projects pause until the next cycle, and if one project goes over, all projects on the account pause.
  • Personal ($9 a month): 1,000 credits, one member. Extra credits are 500 for $5 with auto recharge, which is off by default.
  • Pro (from $20 a month): 3,000 credits with unlimited members. Extra credits are 1,500 for $10. Bigger tiers go up to 20,000 credits for $126 a month.

Translating it

The Free plan's 300 credits cover 20 production deploys, or 15 GB of bandwidth, or 1.5 million web requests. In practice it is a mix: deploy ten times a month (150 credits) and you have 150 left, or 7.5 GB of traffic.

That is enough for a small site, but deploy-heavy workflows burn credits fast. Put your own deploy count and traffic into the stack builder to see which plan you land on.

Accounts created before September 4, 2025 can keep their legacy plans.
