Small Business Program

Limits: iPhone app sales: $83.3K a monthUp to $1M in proceeds a year (about $83K a month)
Usage pricing: 15% of iPhone app sales

Apple Developer Program: $99 a year.
15% commission on paid apps and in-app purchases for developers new to the App Store or under $1M in proceeds the year before. You enrol in the program separately.
Free apps, and sales of physical goods or services used outside the app, pay no commission.
In the US, apps may also link to a web checkout. Apple's fee for that route is still being decided in court, so it is not in this estimate.

30% commission above $1M in proceeds a year, or if you don't join the Small Business Program.
Auto-renewing subscriptions drop to 15% once a subscriber has paid for a year, which this estimate doesn't model.
