- New accounts start with a 30 day trial that includes a one-time $5 credit. After that, or once the $5 is spent, the account moves to the Free plan with $1 of credit each month.
- The $1 credit does not roll over. Each service is limited to 1 vCPU and 0.5 GB of RAM.
- Railway bills the RAM and CPU your app actually uses. The estimate assumes one service using the full server size (and 0.5 vCPU per GB) all month, so it is the upper bound for an always-on app.
- Railway's storage docs say bucket access is suspended once the $1 credit is used. No page we read states what happens to running Free-plan services when the credit runs out; we assume they stop, which is our inference, so check Railway before relying on the Free plan.
- We found no commercial-use ban on the pages we checked.
