Usage pricing
  • Job runs: $1.2 per 1M runs (above 333.3K runs)
  • The first 1 million requests a month are free across all regions. Unused free requests do not roll over.
  • Standard queues cost $0.40 per million requests (US East, N. Virginia). FIFO queues cost $0.50 per million.
  • Sending, receiving and deleting a message are three separate requests, so this estimate counts 3 requests per message ($1.20 per million messages, 333,333 free messages). Batching several messages into one request lowers it.
  • A request carries up to 64 KB. Larger messages are billed as several requests.
  • SQS only holds the queue. You still run the worker that processes the jobs, for example on Lambda or a server.
